I like to draw cartoons and anime a lot more than realistic, with DBZ being the primary choice more often than not.

I'm trying to come up with my own unique style that is both cartoon/anime-styled and realistic, but so far I'm having no luck with that. Once I do crack that art style, I'm going to work constantly on the "Collision" mural I mention in my latest journal entry. 'Till then, it's just going to be nothing but doodles and sketches.

Greetings and salutations everyone. Welcome to my DeviantArt homepage. I'm Dave "the Bellrhino" Bell, I'm 21, and I've been drawing since I was five years old thanks to the encouragement of my mother. I've been a huge fan of comic books and, by extension, manga ever since my father handed me my first issue of Batman when I was really little, and it has had a very large influence on my art style ever since.

I've tried many different forms of art over the few years I've had on this earth so far, such as painting, sculpting, photography, and the like, but drawing is by far and away my favorite form of art. I prefer using only a pencil and ink, but will occasionally use color in my drawings.

It is my firmly held belief that anything on this earth has the potential to be considered an art form, because I see an artist as someone who takes such pride in what they are doing that they want to improve upon it and make it as perfect as they possibly can.

I thoroughly enjoy a good story, regardless of what medium it is portrayed in. Novels, movies, music, comic books, artwork, video games, anything interests me so long as it has a good story to tell. I also enjoy a good challenge, and believe that the only route to self-improvement is through constantly challenging one's self. As such, it is my goal to one day reach a level of storytelling the rivals the greatest out there, not because I wish to be famous (I enjoy a quiet life), but to better myself.

Brief Hiatus...

So yeah, I took a brief break from drawing so I could focus on work, but now that that's almost done for a few weeks, I'm ready to hop back in the game.

I'm already working on two comic-themed drawings, as well as some more character designs for Dungeons and Dragons, and considering I'll be heading my own campaign fairly soon, you'll be seeing a lot of those pop up.

And in regards to the 'Collision' mural I discussed in an earlier post, I'm putting that on the back-burner for the time being because I want to try and design an art style that is both realistic and cartoony at the same time. Once I feel I've cracked that, the I'm going to start on the four battles listed in Entry #1.
